Terrarium workshops are designed to be creative, interactive, and beginner-friendly experiences where participants build their own miniature ecosystem while learning about plants, sustainability, and design.

At the beginning of the workshop, participants are introduced to the basics of terrarium building, including the difference between open and closed terrariums, plant care, and the science behind self-sustaining ecosystems.

Guests then move through different creative stations where they can select from a beautiful variety of materials such as:

• Tropical plants
• Succulents
• Air plants
• Fresh moss
• Decorative stones
• Lava rocks
• Sand
• Figurines and miniature décor

During the class, participants learn how to properly layer drainage materials, charcoal, substrate, and plants to create a balanced ecosystem inside glass containers.

At Terrart NYC, our workshops are designed for all experience levels and are hosted at corporate offices, private events, wellness activations, and public classes throughout NYC. We provide all materials, setup, and cleanup so participants can fully enjoy the experience.

At the end of the workshop, everyone leaves with a beautiful living terrarium and the knowledge needed to care for their miniature ecosystem at home or in the office
