From a Family Tradition to 5,000+ Workshop Participants
Terrart NYC's story began long before our first workshop. Our family's terrarium tradition started in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1984, where plants, moss, rocks, and miniature landscapes became part of our family knowledge.
When Charly and Yuvey Uzcategui established Terrart NYC in Brooklyn, we saw an opportunity to take that tradition beyond creating terrariums. We wanted to teach people how these miniature ecosystems work while giving them the freedom to create something completely their own.

From Terrariums to Hands-On Experiences
Today, Terrart NYC offers closed terrarium, open terrarium, preserved moss art, moss wall, DIY, and virtual workshops.
More than 5,000 participants have joined our botanical experiences, including corporate teams, universities, community organizations, private groups, and events throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, New York City, and across the United States.
We've created workshops for organizations including Google, PayPal, LinkedIn, YouTube, MongoDB, Hearst, Grant Thornton, Coach, and many others.

Bringing People Together Through Nature
Our workshops combine nature, creativity, education, and team building. Participants learn about plants, ecosystems, moss, natural materials, and botanical design while creating something they can take home.
For corporate teams, it's also an opportunity to step away from screens, interact naturally with coworkers, and share a creative experience together.
Through our virtual terrarium and moss wall workshops, we can also ship DIY kits directly to participants across the country and guide teams through the experience live online.
