We were honored to be featured in Homes & Gardens, where our founder Charly Uzcategui shared expert advice on how to properly care for terrariums and maintain healthy ecosystems.

One of the most important aspects of terrarium care is lighting. Most terrariums thrive in bright but indirect sunlight, while direct sun exposure can overheat plants inside the glass.

Watering is equally important. Closed terrariums typically require very little water because moisture naturally recirculates through condensation. Depending on the design, some ecosystems may only need watering every few months.

Proper drainage layers, activated charcoal, quality substrate, and occasional pruning also help maintain a balanced and long-lasting ecosystem.

Terrariums are designed to be low-maintenance, beginner-friendly, and sustainable — making them perfect for homes, offices, and urban living.

We are grateful to Homes & Gardens for featuring Terrart NYC and helping share educational terrarium care knowledge with plant lovers worldwide.
